The Alfa Romeo 33 takes to the German skies [Car Porn]

The sound of its mid-mounted 2.5-liter V8 at 9,600 rpm may be lost, but the Tipo 33/2 is brutal and beautiful even in black and white, frozen mid-air. Clearly from the stone age of aerodynamics, the car was assigned to Mario Casoni, Nino Vaccarella, and Iganzio Giunti for the 1968 N�rburgring 1000 Km, but it was withdrawn before the race. Giunti and Vaccarella drove two other 33/2’s to 5th and 10th place, respectively, Giunti taking a class win. More »
